About Us
I’m Kelsey, a quilter with more than a decade of experience of creating cozy, colourful, and heirloom quality quilts. My love for sewing started with hand-tying blankets for Mennonite Central Committee Disaster Relief through the local Ladies Aid. I began quilting as a way to connect to the community where I was attending College, and it has developed into a lifelong love for fabric, design and the joy of bringing people together through quilting.
I am passionate about helping others create the quilt’s they’ve dreamt of – whether that’s finishing a cherished project with custom longarm quilting or designing a one-of-a-kind heirloom from scratch. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching quilting courses, helping others discover the art and satisfaction of stitching together something truly their own. From fabric selection to the final hand-stitch of binding, I make sure every handmade quilt or item is something I’m proud to share.
Behind every quilt (literally!) is my incredibly supportive husband, who not only holds up finished quilts for photos, but also lends his eye for colour and design consultation. Together, we make a great team – he keeps me balanced, and I keep him up to his eyeballs in quilts and quilts-to-be!
At Tumbleweed Stitchery, the goal is simple, to help you bring your quilting vision to life. Whether you’re sending in a quilt top for longarm quilting, commissioning a custom quilt or purchasing finished products, you can trust that each project is handled with care, creativity and craftsmanship.
